What to pack

Things to pack when going on a two/three week getaway or to your relatives to stay for a while:
1. Duffle bag or a travel bag - a colorful one will always do so it will be easier to point out.
2. Three pair of jeans
3. Five t-shirts, one long sleeve.
4. One sleep shirt/boxers or shorts - and of course underwear.
5. A small bag of toiletries - the one that you would take on a plane - it's easier to carry.
6. Flip flops - plastic ones that you take to the beach so you can dispose of them after your trip.
7. A pair of Ballet shoes (flats) - small cute an portable.
8. A pair of sneakers if you are going to stand on your feet all day.
9. A small notebook to write whatever.
10. A cell phone in case of good and bad whatevers.
11. A camera - light enough to carry and easy to use.
12. A map of where you are - if you're not staying with relatives.
13. Two good books to keep you fundimental and occupied.

My opinions of where I been - take it or leave it

Bridgeport, CT - Broken down houses, empty factories, and a pretty ugly, pretentious shitty city.
Boston, MA - New York's rival on high rent, racist bastards, and grimy climate. Beautiful city - somewhat. It depends on where you go but hey the racist, snooty, up tight locals are really, really nice.
Washington, DC - Highly conservative, the homeless/bums come out around 8pm, and H Street is a great place for white/ European tourist attraction if you like the ghetto or high crime. I can't believe the White House is that small.
Philadelphia, PA - I've been there only for a day, and when I was eleven for a 6 grade field trip, so I can only say one thing. Nice place but I wouldn't want to live there.
Miami, FL - A beautiful shithole. Blue waters infested with sharks, white sandy if almost dirty beaches, the wicked night life and shady people. Plus also known for cocaine, Narcs, and Miami Ink. YEAH.
New York City - Can I sing it's praises? NO. But it's a wonderful city that keeps you busy. What more can I say? It's a shitty city of sorts but it has it's perks as well.
Montreal Canada - It's French. The surroundings reminds me a lot of Brooklyn - French version.

BROOKLYN! - taken 2007

Montreal Canada - 2007

I found this old picture in my Flicker. So might as well I add it in. I look so much like Brooklyn - in fact where I was in Montreal seem like I was in Brooklyn only everything there is in French and FREEZING!!!

I LOVE New York

And I do love New York City, but like an obnoxious lover - it's also a pain in my ass. This city is crazy and I have my friends and connections although no matter where I go I always keep coming back here. Why shouldn't I - I was born in Brooklyn so it's my home and always will be my home. I just want to move and stay away from home because there more to this life than New York City. And what ever it is let me know because I can't think of anything else.

This song explains it all.

Tunnel Vision

I had to take pictures of the subway. Train, tunnel and all. Why not .

Washington, DC

Washington, DC is a crazy place - depending how you see the city. It reminds me a lot of Boston only with the White House and monuments. Next month I'm going to up load a shit full of pictures from my phone and cameras but until then, it's a wait.

Arlington,VA-Clarendon

Today I went to Clarendon, VA to get a free cupcake. A coffee toffee cupcake and it was GOOD. Plus I simply wanted to get out of DC for a bit. This place is nice. Quiet, a bit like Fairfield or some other Connecticut place that's NOT Bridgeport. It's nice out here and very METRO. I have pics on my Diana that I have to upload soon. Stay tuned. It's about time I put some more and better pics on this damn website.
But getting a free cupcake is NOT a adventure or exciting. It's just plain boring.

Virgina is nice and I could live out here - but not. The moon is nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live out there. I'm looking for a place to call home sure but not here. It nice and worth the train fare but not for me.
